THE ROWAN COUNTY
HISTORICAL SOCIETY
(established in 1977) is a
group of people who share a common interest in any phase of the history of Rowan County, KY and vicinity. Members work to organize historical research and promote community awareness of all aspects of the county’s heritage.
The dedicated members keep the Society active and involved in a variety of activities and projects.
MEETINGS
Meetings are held the first Thursday of each month, usually at the Rowan County Public Library. Business meeting is at 6:00pm and special scheduled programs begin at 7:00pm.
All meetings are open to the general public.
MEMBERSHIP
Membership is open to any person who supports the activities of the society. Dues are: $10.00 per year for individuals, $15.00 per year for a family (two or more at the same address) and $100.00 per individual for lifetime membership. Simply fill out the membership form and return it along with your check or money order to the address shown. A special membership card will then be issued.
Dues apply to the current year. Membership renewals are collected during January or the first quarter of each year.
HOW TO BECOME A MEMBER
Anyone wishing to support the Rowan County, Kentucky Historical Society and take part in any of the special interest groups can simply fill out and return the membership form with the annual dues payment.
